An exciting new collaboration between FutureX and Bridge 2 Business has been announced for 2019 which will introduce a series of regional youth impact summit events across colleges in Scotland.

An exciting new collaboration has been announced for 2019 which will introduce a series of regional youth impact summit events across colleges in Scotland. In partnership with Bridge 2Business and FutureX the series of regional events will take place in colleges between February - May 2019 ahead of the annual national Impact Summit event, which will take place on May 15 at SWG3, Glasgow.
The first in the series of regional events will take place at Ayrshire College's newly developed Kilmarnock Campus on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. This event in partnership with FutureX is focusing on enterprising opportunities for the Ayrshire Area, with the aim of highlighting and discussing the local challenges and trends. On the day there will be Professors, local business owners and students alike, discussing their ideas and how we can create an impact for the local area through purpose led enterprises.
Themed workshops, hosted by a variety of speakers will highlight and discuss topics including; timeless skills, purpose led businesses, challenges within the Ayrshire area, business skills and how we can raise aspirations for the entrepreneurs of the future.
Emma Frew, Owner of Breeze Connection and Lucy Thomson of Coach Lucy will be hosting a workshop on "Realising your full potential - growing confidence." The two inspiring start-up business owners will be sharing their personal journey into enterprise and anecdotes from their early success stories in each of their businesses.
Colin Mason, Professor of Entrepreneurship at University of Glasgow will be hosting a workshop focusing on "The importance of the Circular Economy - Future thinking - Where do entrepreneurs get their business ideas from?"

Lucy, studied Fitness, Health and Exercise at Ayrshire College before going on to study Sport and Exercise Science at UWS. Lucy launched her business Coach Lucy to train, educate and motivate individuals who are looking to change their lifestyle.
Professor of Entrepreneurship, Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow
Colin Mason is Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Adam Smith Business School, University of Glasgow where he teaches an innovative course on Business Start-Up that is based on experiential learning .
Ayrshire College is a further education institution in Scotland. Formed in August 2013 from a merger between Ayr College, Kilmarnock College and the Largs and Kilwinning campuses of James Watt College, it serves the Ayrshire area, surrounding areas and overseas students.
